Kevin Ogborne Grade 2 Coach


​Kevin joined the Southwest Scorpions in late 2009, he started out under Jen’s wing to progress in his grade 2, he became the head coach for the under 15’s training and competing in the Junior national league. Kevin ventured further out helping out at the GB Under 23’s and summer camps for BWB, he as represented the England South at the Sainsburys school games, being assistant coach as well as head coach gaining bronze and silver with the junior teams.  Kevin is never happy unless he is helping others to better themselves and has coached a few teams, including a national league team with great success taking this team from Divison 4 up to division 1 in just 4 seasons and all the while still coaching at Scorpions. 
Kevin is currently training for his Grade 3 and as recently become a Tutor.  He is not only coach at the Scorpions but also Welfare officer and First aider.  There is just no stopping him from achieving much more, so watch this space to see what he will achieve next.


​Simeon Wakely GRADE 2 COACH


Simeon started at the club when it first launch back in early 2009 as a junior player and was coached by Kevin himself. Simeon progressed through the club first player for the Under 15’s in the junior national league to the Under 19’s. When Simeon’s time came to decide what he would like to do next due to his age, he decided he would like to be a coach, Simeon had the opportunity to coach at our temporary satellite club and can be found every Sunday at Scorpions coaching both of our beginners and advanced players.  Under Kevin’s mentoring and guidance Simeon is now an aspiring Grade 2 coach, he is also a first aider for the club.


​DEBBIE OGBORNE TEAM MANAGER

DEBBIE JOINED SCORPIONS IN 2010 WHEN SHE WAS VOLUNTEERED TO BE TEAM MANGER FOR THE UNDER 15’S AND UNDER 19’S AT THE JUNIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, SHE DID SUCH A FANTASTIC JOB THAT SHE WAS SOON PUT IN CHARGE OF BEING TEAM MANAGER FOR THE WHOLE CLUB, EVERY WEEK SHE WOULD NOT ONLY SORT OUT THE CHAIRS, PLAYERS, PARENTS AND PAPERWORK, BUT SHE WOULD PROVIDE TEAS & COFFEES AND A FRIENDLY EAR. HER ORGANISATION SKILLS LEAD HER TO BECOME THE CLUBS SECRETARY. DEBBIE HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO ATTEND AND REPRESENT ENGLAND SOUTH AS TEAM MANAGER AT THE SAINSBURY’S SCHOOL GAMES IN 2012. SHE AS ATTENDED MANY CLUB CONFERENCES AND TRAINING COURSES, SHE AS A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPORT, IF SHE CAN’T ANSWER YOUR QUESTION SHE WILL FIND THE ANSWER ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, SHE IS ALSO A FIRST AIDER AT THE CLUB AND KEEPS EVERYONE ON THEIR TOES.
